Worsted weight yarn, 5 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, button optional for flower center.
100% cotton worsted, 4.5 mm crochet hook, yarn needle
1. White yarn: Chain 5, slip stitch to join and form a ring.
2. Chain 2, make 11 double crochet in the ring, slip stitch to join in the
top of the chain 2. Fasten off. (12 stitches, chain 2 counts as 1 dc.)
3. Attach pink yarn in the fasten off stitch, chain 2, double crochet in the
same stitch, chain 2, slip stitch in the same stitch.
*slip stitch in the next 2 stitches,
in the next stitch make: chain 2, double crochet, chain 2, slip
stitch in the same stitch,
repeat from * around, slip stitch to join in the base of the first chain 2, fasten
4. Attach dark pink yarn in the fasten off stitch.
*In the side of the next dc, make: single crochet, 2 double crochet, single crochet.
Push the stitches back out of the way, insert hook into the top of the next double
crochet stitch, in that stitch make: single crochet, 2 double crochet, single crochet.
In the side of the next dc, make: single crochet, 2 double crochet, single crochet.
(One petal completed.)
Repeat from * to complete all the remaining petals, slip stitch to join in the first single
crochet, fasten off. Tie all yarn ends together on the back, or weave into the finished
work. Sew a button in the center.
Carry the yarn end along the outside of the ring.
Single crochet in the ring, 3 double crochet in the ring,
chain 3, slip stitch into the top of the last double crochet,
3 double crochet in the ring, single crochet in the ring, slip stitch to join in the first single crochet, fasten off. Pull tightly on the yarn end to close the center of the leaf.
